hi,
tested that command yesterday and it worked. it gives pretty much the same information the ingame scoreboard offers.
today i wanted to use it again but instead of usernames it dsplays the word FREE and all numbers are 0s. is that a known bug? is there a way to fix that? what happened there?
thanks

read cvars g_redteamlist and g_blueteamlist
they return which clients are in the red or blue team not with numbers but characters (clientnum 0 = A, clientnum 1 = B, etc.)

how does this work when the server has more than 26 players?

players command is definitely buggy. It has problems with and without private slots (but private slots are always a problem). It looks to me as if the response from the server makes the faulty assumption that all players on the server are in the lowest slots possible leading to player information being returned from empty/FREE slots. Also kills field returns points not kills (kills would be better as points are easily found in status already).
Note really sure. I would guess with whatever ascii symbols come after Z. Just try it on a full 32 man server and see what happens. Or better yet don't run servers with more then 26 slots. Or even better don't run servers with more then 20 slots. Popularity isn't everything people. Focus on gameplay.
You are wrong. Values returned by g_redteamlist is a string of slot #s coded as letters. You can have more then 26 slots so nitro's concern is valid.

UrT Servers cannot have 26 players per team. So there is no problem here
